Copying Rembrandt "Man with a beard" 1632

Starting with charcoal I drew a general block-in aiming for shape and proportions.

Working on gesso on board with a wash of burnt sienna & Raw Umber.I start Blocking-in with charcoal, looking for general shapes and proportions.
